Custom Korean American Pop Star Doll

Min-Ji loves to sing and dance. She was inspired by K-pop culture. Her name means "clever and bright."

Min-Ji was customized from a gently preloved American Girl doll for the base. I have given her beautiful brown eyes and a complete face up using professional art materials. Her special features include feathered eyebrows, wispy eyelashes, facial contouring, soft blush, and rosy lips. She also has body art designs inspired by Korean folk art. Although all artwork has been sealed and has UV protection, this doll should be handled gently. 

I created her one-of-a-kind wig using a new wig from Kaya with sewn-in strands of violet to hot pink ombre highlights. It has been permanently attached with craft contact adhesive. The hair fibers are heat safe and tangle resistant.

Min-Ji will arrive in her unique performance outfit, designed just for her. This ensemble features a sparkly black and gold jacket, white silk top with snap closure, and white and black shorts. Her golden belt closes with Velcro in back. The high white socks and lace-up boots complete her look.

I have customized this doll in my smoke-free, pet-free studio. She has been thoroughly cleaned and restrung. Her limbs are tight and posable. There are light marks from handling. Her Artist's Certificate of Authenticity is included.
