Custom American Girl Doll - Celesteina

A collaboration with talented digital artist, Amy Trater. 

Her story: "Amy Trater studied at East Tennessee State University majoring in Digital Media with a concentration in Animation. She graduated in 2020 among the top of her class with honors and was awarded the Magna Cum Laude. She continues dedicating herself to research on the digital arts as technology evolves. Her goal is to become recognized for her works and to share her visions."

The doll: Enchanting Celesteina is a mythical princess from a faraway land. She embodies grace, determination, and loyalty. She commands powerful magic and protects her kingdom from falling into the wrong hands. Her royal family possesses the Knowledge Stone, one of three diamond-shaped stones making up the Divinity Stone, a magical power created by the heavens and sought by many kingdoms, good and evil. This stone allows Celesteina to look into the future and avoid danger. She spends time praying in the temple for the safety of her kingdom, hoping that a hero might come and join her to defeat the dark forces.

The details: Celesteina was created from a new Rapunzel American Girl doll. I have given her beautiful deep blue eyes and a complete face up using professional art materials. Her special features include feathered eyebrows, wispy eyelashes, facial contouring, soft blush, and rosy lips. Although all artwork has been sealed and has UV protection, this doll should be handled gently. Her elf ears are secured with tack and can be removed if desired. The custom wig of cascading light blonde curls was designed by Dallasdollco. It has been permanently attached with craft contact adhesive. The hair fibers are heat safe and tangle resistant.

Celesteina will arrive in her magical princess outfit, designed just for her. This ensemble features a cranberry taffeta top beaded with semi-precious dyed agate and golden metal beads. Armor plates of gold are secured at her shoulders. The top closes in back with a metal snap and ribbon ties. 

Her long, flowing skirt is sewn of soft pink charmeuse. The attached ceremonial panel is of turquoise satin decorated with dazzling Austrian crystals and hand-painted whimsical symbols. Her unique jewelry includes crystal diamond dangle earrings and a sparkling turquoise glass beaded necklace with a magnetic clasp. Celesteina's look is completed with soft white gloves, glistening crown, white stockings, and golden slippers.

I have customized this doll in my smoke-free, pet-free studio. The zip tie at her neck was replaced with a new string. There may be light marks/shines/rubs on the vinyl from handling during customization. Her Artist's Certificate of Authenticity is included.
